Research Fellowship Program
As part of its commitment to advancing culture and the arts, Danseurs Citoyens Sud launched the Research Fellowship Program to strengthen knowledge production in arts and cultural studies, with a particular focus on southern Tunisia. The program brings together training and research, aiming to equip emerging researchers from cities outside the major urban centers—especially in the south of the country—with the necessary tools to critically engage with cultural contexts and contribute to a deeper understanding of local realities.
The first training session was held at the No Name Cultural Center in Gabes from May 24 to 29, 2025, gathering six researchers from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Centered around the guiding question “How can cultural research reshape our awareness of reality?”, the program fosters both intellectual growth and practical skills. By combining mentorship, research development, and collaborative exchange, the initiative seeks to cultivate a new generation of researchers capable of producing innovative studies on local cultural ecosystems and reshaping how communities understand and imagine their cultural realities.
